The West Coast Festival of Rugby in years gone by has welcomed thousands of players and family members to take part in an exciting end of season tour for their teams and families. We are pleased to now offer this prestigious leading festival and we have moved the festival to a location where we have plenty of accommodation on offer to accommodate the large numbers and a great host club.

Sitting just a few minutes’ walk from the stunning large sandy beach of Southport is where you will find our accommodation partner and just a five minute’s drive from the accommodation you will find our superb host club partner Southport RFC.

Club Apartments provide you with a host of additional benefits like free electricity. You also get the extra benefit of early check-in from 2pm just to make your stay more comfortable and convenient. Club has a choice of 1- or 2-Bedroom Apartments. Bathrooms: Club 4 apartments have three quarter length bath with shower over. Club 6 apartments have a shower cubicle.

Club Extras-

Standard Apartments offer you comfortable accommodation. The Apartments include a fitted kitchen, private bathroom, lounge with TV. All Standard Apartments have either 1 or 2 bedrooms, so they can sleep up to 4 or 6 people. *Studios only sleep 2 people in a double bed and have a slightly different layout. Standard has a choice of 1- or 2-Bedroom Apartments. Bathrooms: Full length Bath, Toilet and Wash hand Basin.

*Bed Linen from £10 per single bed, £12 per double bed (*Please notify Tour International at time of booking your West Coast Rugby Festival if you would like bedding added). Please note, bedding already included with club chalet bookings.
All apartments – Travel Cot hire – £10 per cot (£20 Refundable Deposit charged as extra)
Standard Chalets – Electric is paid for at the reception area and online via a QR code on the back of your key card. If you are fortunate enough to obtain one of the early booking spaces offering free electric upgrade, Tour International Ltd will credit your key card prior to your arrival with the average value in funds for use which is the chalet historic average in electric over a set weekend.

Chalet General Overview
Apartments consist of a Lounge with a Double fold out Bed settee, Kitchen, Bathroom and Bedrooms as above, with either Single Beds, Double Bed or Bunk Beds.
Accessibility Requirements
Ramps can be provided for access to all ground floor apartments, please notify us at the time of booking so we can send you a “Special Request” form. Email contact@tour-international.com to request a special request form. The Holiday Park have a limited number of Apartments that are fully adapted for guests with disabilities, which include a kitchen with lower level units and a fully adapted wet room facility in the bathroom, these chalets are limited in number, please request at time of booking to establish if any fully accessible chalets are available.

With a long history of putting on wonderful rugby festivals for teams from across the UK and overseas throughout the years, for sure teams, club members and supporters can look forward to a true sporting welcome at Southport RFC who also know a fair bit about putting the fun into family rugby festivals with us.

With the rugby pitches all in a confined beautiful setting looking out in front of their modern club house with terrace and a grandstand to cheer your team on from the setting of Southport RFC as a host club for the West Coast Festival of Rugby could not be better.

What makes the rugby club so perfect is that it does not matter if you’re staying in the holiday park or if you’re staying in the seaside town of Southport in one of the hotels we offer you will be no more than a five minute drive from the rugby festival.

Just picture it, rugby being played all around you, the club house and terrace bursting with atmosphere, the band playing in the back ground and your team mates and their families all together. The West Coast Festival of Rugby is a must go to festival for clubs.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes of course, Tour International Ltd only offer family themed mini & junior rugby festivals, we welcome all mums, dads, siblings, guardians, grandparents and supporters to all our festivals to be part of your teams end of season tour.

We aim to offer each team taking part three matches on the Saturday and two matches on the Sunday as the set target, however this is dependent on the number of teams which enter at the age group you are part of and can vary from festival to festival.

What we always look to achieve is offering each team taking part in the festival the maximum permitted playing time allowed under RFU age grade rules for playing time on each day.

On occasions this is possible but is subject to the space and number of teams in the festival, if you can only play on one of the days, please let us know at the time you are making the booking for your team. Please note, at all festivals we operate priority is given to teams who can take part on two days and we may not be able to confirm your one-day entry until one month prior to the festival.

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food and drink to the rugby festival, although we ask you to respect the host rugby club and remember the host club will have gone to a lot of trouble to make available food and beverages for you to purchase at a reasonable price and to enjoy throughout the weekend at the rugby festival.

At holiday parks and hotels, you are free to bring your own food and drink in to your rooms and consume them in your rooms but you should not take your own food and drink into the public areas of holiday parks or hotels.

Yes, it is, when you participate in the festival you also book accommodation to stay at throughout the weekend and in doing so this also enables you to enter your team (s) to take part in the festival and for supporters to access the rugby festival venue and cheer you on.

Teams of all standards are welcome at Tour International festivals; you need not worry what standard of level of play you are at as we will structure the rugby festival so that by the end of the festival, we do all we can to match teams of similar ability so they are playing each other.

There will be many different levels of tournament categories which teams will qualify for after the first day of play based on the results from your day one matches, leaving you confident that you know come day two of the rugby festival you will be playing against teams of similar ability in a competition for silverware regardless of you day one results.
