A very special year for our host club as they celebrate their 150th Anniversary on the 2023/24 season and better way to finish off the year that with Devon’s biggest two day mini & junior festival of rugby.

As one of the most progressive and largest player-based clubs in the region it is only fitting that Newton Abbot RFC are hosts to Devon’s two-day flagship rugby festival, the “South Coast Festival of Rugby” as clubs from around the country and across Devon head to beautiful South Devon and join our hosts at a celebration weekend of rugby and enjoyment.

Open to all age groups from U7 through to U16 and girls U14 & U16, teams with their families have the options of staying in holiday villages, adventure centres, private boarding schools and hotels across the region.

A very special end of season tour awaits your club, we know the festival will be in big demand and we urge clubs to register as early as possible so you do not miss out on our South Devon festival.

Celebrating their 150th Anniversary year in 2023 / 2024 season we are proud to have Newton Abbot RFC as our host club, renowned for bringing a lot of enthusiasm and excellence to everything they do, we are sure everyone will enjoy their time there and celebrate with them their very special anniversary.

Newton Abbot RFC know how to create a memorable experience for their guests. The “JMV MARQUEE” with its capacity to host 400 people and its location next to the rugby clubhouse and picturesque patio looking out on to the rugby fields provide a fantastic setting for this special occasion, worthy of the prestigious South Coast Festival of Rugby.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes of course, Tour International Ltd only offer family themed mini & junior rugby festivals, we welcome all mums, dads, siblings, guardians, grandparents and supporters to all our festivals to be part of your teams end of season tour.

We aim to offer each team taking part three matches on the Saturday and two matches on the Sunday as the set target, however this is dependent on the number of teams which enter at the age group you are part of and can vary from festival to festival.

What we always look to achieve is offering each team taking part in the festival the maximum permitted playing time allowed under RFU age grade rules for playing time on each day.

On occasions this is possible but is subject to the space and number of teams in the festival, if you can only play on one of the days, please let us know at the time you are making the booking for your team. Please note, at all festivals we operate priority is given to teams who can take part on two days and we may not be able to confirm your one-day entry until one month prior to the festival.

Yes, you are welcome to bring your own food and drink to the rugby festival, although we ask you to respect the host rugby club and remember the host club will have gone to a lot of trouble to make available food and beverages for you to purchase at a reasonable price and to enjoy throughout the weekend at the rugby festival.

At holiday parks and hotels, you are free to bring your own food and drink in to your rooms and consume them in your rooms but you should not take your own food and drink into the public areas of holiday parks or hotels.

Yes, it is, when you participate in the festival you also book accommodation to stay at throughout the weekend and in doing so this also enables you to enter your team (s) to take part in the festival and for supporters to access the rugby festival venue and cheer you on.

Teams of all standards are welcome at Tour International festivals; you need not worry what standard of level of play you are at as we will structure the rugby festival so that by the end of the festival, we do all we can to match teams of similar ability so they are playing each other.

There will be many different levels of tournament categories which teams will qualify for after the first day of play based on the results from your day one matches, leaving you confident that you know come day two of the rugby festival you will be playing against teams of similar ability in a competition for silverware regardless of you day one results.
